    Beer cheese dip

    Tried this recipe today https://sallysbakingaddiction.com/beer-cheese-dip/
it was pretty good , i think it would be better but i used a budlight instead of a more flavor lager, and i used frozen shredded cheese instead of fresh grated. Next time i might add some shredded queso and a little parmesan. Click image for larger version

I was griping about Mac and cheese recently and a few folks on this site suggested that I use sodium citrate. Well, I tried that, and I ain't never going back. So here's a link, I haven't tried it yet, but 1 - it has sodium citrate, and 2 - it's Jess Pryles, so...

I was gonna mention the same thing.
Just tried the sodium citrate about a week ago. And yeah. It’s a game changer.
Makes the cheese smooth like butter. Only cheesier.

Want to knock it up another notch....shred up some BBQed chicken breast and mix it into the dip.
Queso will definitely help and/or a few tablespoons of Franks hot sauce.

"Beer Cheese Dip" - That title put a big smile on my face - imagine three words can be so beautiful!

I didn't know about sodium citrate, I'm ordering it right now. I'm so looking forward to this!

Game changer indeed. There are a lot of good resources for that stuff. I like this one, not because it is particularly well organized, but he covers the ratios for different consistencies, and you can use your own recipes.

Nice way to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. Thanks for the inspiration. Nothing not to like about beer and cheese.

Thin it out with some chicken stock and/or milk and you've got beer cheese soup.
