Hello all,
I just made my first salsa matcha last night. I'll make some tweaks next time but it was very good. I have seen this online in my search for Mexican recipes and I was intrigued. I will use it for grilled fish and vegtables.
*I used dry roasted peanuts form a jar which was all my local grocery had. I believe they were too dry. Perhaps either raw, or roasted in their shell.
*I skipped the de arbor, not a huge fan. To me that are all fire and no flavor. Instead I used 4 ancho and 4 Guajillo. I over toasted them and they tasted a little burnt.
*I used 3 cloves of garlic, I should have used more.
* I added roasted sesame seeds and dried cranberries. They were good additions. I may try them roasted sliced almonds next time. I may also make a spicier version. It was so easy.
* Instead of vegetable oil, I used avocado oil. I was pleased.
I used it on some grilled chicken and it paired well, I enjoyed it so much that I had some more on some tortilla chips afterwards.
What are your preferences, recipes, and what you use in to???
Cheers!
JD
