Guy grows tomatoes from a McDonald's burger

I thought this was pretty cool. I can’t do this in my yard because the deer eat everything, but I might try it in my deck box.

That was more fascinating than it had any right to be. Also, with as expensive as fast food is these days, might as well get more milage out of it!

If I decide to try this, I'm gonna plant the Quarter Pounder.

I was thinking all along that McD uses a hybrid variety of tomatoes, and as the guy said, they do not breed true, so the offspring are not exactly what McD uses. And I was surprised to see a Roma type tomato too.

How many chemicals and pesticides are in those tomato seeds?

Willy really? I would imagine they buy commercially grown produce which uses pesticides.

SheilaAnn The seed is very, very tiny. Virtually zero of whatever tiny amount is in the seed will be in the subsequent plant/fruits.

That was interesting, I have a neighbor, who is very tight, save seeds from last year tomato's to plant this year.

Wonder what a Big Mac would
produce? I like me some Big Macs once in awhile.
