    Quest for Brussels sprouts

    Forgot to buy Brussels sprouts for Christmas dinner. Had to search 5 stores in west suburban Chicago before I found them. I bought the last bag at this particular store. Sold out everywhere. Two produce managers told me they’ve been selling like crazy. Finding beef plate ribs for tomorrow was easier!

    A fun side note: While waiting in line to purchase the Brussels I looked up and saw Meathead in the same line paying for his groceries. Unfortunately, I was too far back to get his attention without making a scene.

      I was at Standard Market this morning picking up 15 pounds USDA Choice prime rib for tomorrow. They need to put a loan dept in the store....

        That is where I saw you! Beef ribs (with Big Bad Beef Rub)from Costco on our menu tomorrow. Dry, temps above freezing, had to use the smoker.

        If you were in Santa Cruz CA (Brussels sprout capitol of America) you could just pull over and pick them off the street. 😁
