Anyone with experience with this, planting corn, pole beans, and squash together? Yakima, WA is in USDA zone 7.
Am interested in varieties, seed sources, and general tips. I suspect that ComfortablyNumb may have something to.offer.
I would like to plant sweet rather than dent corn, but need strong stalks. Figure I can sneak in to harvest corn without too much damage to beans and squash. Beans would be harvested dry.
Thanks,
Phil
yakima - yes - fresh corn in FL is usually a mix of yellow and white, large sweet kernels. I pick the heaviest, largest circumference with good silk. Almost never gets bad one. 👍👍

Tried a few times here. The trash pandas don't let us get any corn.
Yellow sweet corn
Jade Bush beans, unconventional I know
Delicata squash.
1 full wheelbarrow of good garden soil, lots of compost. 5 corn around the outside, alternating with beans, squash in middle.
Good harvest of beans and squash from 3 mounds.
Looking for pics, but that was a couple of yard renovations ago.
