My wife calls me "Teddy" and I call her "Princess" and that's where "mrteddyprincess" comes from.
We had a neighbor who ordered an 18-pound turkey one Thanksgiving from a home delivery store. Giant, I think.
They called and said something like they didn't have one that size, she thought. She said just give me what you've got. She got 18 pounds of deli sliced turkey meat.
We got into the Instacart habit heavily during the pandemic, but now that we realize how expensive they have become -- it literally is throwing money away -- we've really scaled back. Plus, I like to pick out my own produce and meat.
About the only time we do it now is on the weekends. With with local Krogers not exactly realizing it is bad business to annoy your customers, our HEB is packed on the weekends, Sunday afternoon especially. I'll pay a premium for someone to shop for me under those conditions.
You’re right about the Sunday afternoon crowds at HEB. A few months ago I went there on a Sunday afternoon, never again! And I hate my nearby Kroger, I only go there if I need a couple of items, and because it’s only 1 mile from my house.
