I eat a lot of sardines. A sardine sandwich is one of my favorite things. Most of what I eat are the reasonably priced and ubiquitous King Oscar 2 layer in olive oil. I've tried many other brands over the years.
If you want to spend a bit more and for a different style of sardine I'll second @FireMans suggestion of Nuri - they are fantastic!
+1 on the Season brand from Costco. I eat these right out of the can without anything. With other brands I am usually digging in the fridge for mustard or hot sauce.

I never met a sardine I didn't like. My current favorites are from Spain ... purchased via LaTienda.com. Their other canned seafood is excellent, too (watch for sales).
Boneless, skinless filets packed in olive oil will change the mind of those who don't like sardines. Mild in flavor and lacking the "stinky fish" smell usually associated with canned sardines. I usually get ones from Spain, Portugal or Morocco. Bar Harbor and Wild Planet brands are easy to find in the US.
Honest to god I wish you were right. But I taste almost anything from the ocean and my brain screams, “NOT FOOD!” It is a source of great disappointment, half the world’s great food is behind a wall.

If not cooking outdoors, I am cooking on the stovetop with my 14" carbon steel wok, 12" CI skillet, or in the oven with my two Lodge CI pizza pans, or two dutch ovens. I've also got a nifty Lodge carbon steel grill pan that rocks for veggies outdoors.
I grew up eating sardines, something my dad liked. My little sister, me and my dad would sit and eat them out of the can at the picnic table in the backyard, as my mom couldn't stand the smell in the house, haha.
I've bought them a couple times since I've been married, but its literally been decades since I had any. Funny thing is, I literally HATE anchovies, but I always liked sardines. But not on pizza!

Love sardines, in anything, kipper snacks, smoked oysters, any of them. My wife eats them right along with me. Sometimes if a can of sardines isn't enough I'll open up a can of salmon for lunch. Grew up eating sardines on crackers with my parents.
