Had some neighborhood friends coming over for dinner, and didn't really plan ahead what to cook. So I went to Sprouts hoping for a bolt of inspiration, and it happened when I walked in the door and saw fresh, ripe, organic peaches. I headed straight for the meat section to make sure they had pork shoulder. I remembered a recipe that EdF shared a couple years ago that I made twice in 2017 and haven't made since. And I still have it bookmarked, so here it is:
Grilled Pork and Peaches
Made this with some rustic fried potatoes, salad and Stone IPA. I didn't get any photos because I was caught up in the process. My guests showed up early, so I put them to work helping cook. That made it even better - they had a lot of fun. Then the patio was cool and peaceful, and we ate and talked for a couple hours. Perfect evening, and a great meal. Thanks again, Ed.
EDIT:
BTW, my friends brought the salad. It was a simple greens & cucumber salad with oil & vinegar, but what made it amazing was a heavy amount of fresh dill - that flavor was incredible when paired with the pork.
