    Whole hog leg-what to do?

A friend of mine harvested a whole hog and has offered me an entire rear leg/ham. He says it weighs about 40lbs and that was being conservative. If I take him up on this offer, what in the world would I do with it? I don't think it would fit on any of my cookers. I know someone local that has a big Lang that would like it but has no way to store it. If I can get it in my deep freezer chest, how would I wrap it to make sure it stayed in good condition? Any and all replies are welcome

i'd imagine if you break it down into pieces it would be more manageable.

We make a country ham every few years at home. https://pubs.ext.vt.edu/458/458-223/458-223.html

Hereabouts, whenever we encounter a Hog Leg, we jus smoke it up...
