It has never happened to me, simply because I never drink when I cook. I go into ‘work mode’ when I cook.
And no, I’m not trying to be a smartass. I’ve managed to find many other ways to screw up a cook even without alcohol :-)
We all live and learn, that’s what makes us improve long term.
I had an epic fail a few weeks ago where lighting the coals went too fast, I tried to choke it down, white billowing smoke was pouring out. After a while I realized I couldn’t save it so I shut it down completely, licked my wounds and did a retake the next day.

Doing Spares tomorrow. I am going to dub them "Huskee's Forget-Me-Not ribs..." I'll put a shot of bourbon in the crutch.

Know it been there. I was making 1 dozen Alabama white sauce chicken drumsticks. A buddy of mine come over with a bottle of Makes Mark. It was a prefect day of cooking. So we sat, sip and talk. We finish the bottle and so was the Alabama black drumsticks.
