I found a pack of SLC ribs at the bottom of the freezer. I remember now that I got a 3-pack of costco ribs about 10 months ago and only cooked 2 racks. The last rack I cut in half, double-ziplocked and put in the freezer. Then it escaped to the bottom until today. It's got a lot of frost inside the bag, so there's some definite freezer burn.
I won't cook this meat for guests, but I don't want to waste it. So if I want to salvage it for my own consumption, what's the best way to minimize the damage?
Scotch: Current favorite- The Arran (anything by them), Glenmorangie 12yr Lasanta, sherry cask finished. The Balvenie Double Wood, also like Oban 18yr, and The Glenlivet Nadurra (Oloroso sherry cask finished) among others. Neat please.

I guess what I'd do is rinse it in water and see if there's any obvious discolored meat, and if so thaw & trim it. If not, a heavy dose of seasoning and cook from frozen!
