Ultimate Smoked Ham with Turkey broth?

I have plans to follow Meathead's instructions for the ultimate smoked ham (https://amazingribs.com/tested-recip...ate-smoked-ham) soon.

The glaze is supposed to be Chris Lily's glaze mixed with 1 cup of chicken broth, but as it turns out I have a lot of turkey broth available to use (derived from the remains of a recent turkey cook) and was wondering if that could be a suitable substitute for the chicken broth here. I know they say to follow the instructions to the letter the first time you try it, so I would like to know if there will be any unpleasant surprises if I made this substitution?

Should work out fine. Turkeys have a slightly different flavor from chickens, but one non-flying poultry is likely as good as the next for this purpose.

I wouldn't expect any issues either.

I don't ever specify. Poultry broth is what I label both.

Thanks for the responses, I'll probably go ahead and use the turkey broth then. My main concern was that it would be a bit too salty or flavorful due to the fact that it came from a turkey that had a layer of rub, was brined in a solution, and was smoked, and that it might not complement the apricot glaze well. OOTH, that also might add an enhanced layer of flavor to the glaze.

Chicken broth is very neutral in flavor particularly from the grocery store shelf. I would expect your home made broth will be a good flavor enhancer.
