    My first attempt at pulled pork

    Hello Amazing Ribbers: I made my maiden voyage into the land of pulled pork today. Thanks to Meathead's Perfect Pulled Pork recipe (turn to page 198 in your hymnal), it came out great! I started small: a 3-pound butt. Using a Weber kettle, a Smoke'N'Sear, regular Kingsford charcoal and some pecan wood, here's what I got:

    Thanks for sharing all the info, pictures, recipes, etc. Now it's time for a bourbon!

                Looks really good! Did the same thing, only with hickory. I'll have to get a bag of pecan, next.

                        The best thing about pulled pork is, once you get the hang of making "good" pulled pork, there's not a ton of difference between that and 'great" pulled pork. I'd say you re well on your way.

                          Boston Butt is a great piece of meat for any 1st time low and slow cook, Your three pounder looks great. I usually do ten pounders, so I think you are ready to cook for a party. A ten pounder will easily serve 20-30 guests. Have fun and eat well.
