Cutting ribs in half? - wsm 18.5

St. Louis don't fit well. Doing two racks an considering cutting in half to fit. Any one have experience that might sway me on the decision?

lord2464 I do it all the time in my Keg. The top rack sits high in the lid so the grate is smaller that 18.5 and the full rack won't fit. So I cut them in half, and it works great.

... cut off a couple of ribs from the thick end so the rest fit the 18 1/2 space , as they accumulate save them for another time , they may also fit on the edge

My bbq is only 18 inches in diameter, so I'm always cutting them in two. It's like playing tetris!

If you cut off a couple of ribs, you can call them "test" ribs, that you "test" before everyone else get's theirs.

Weber makes a smoking rack for the WSM 18". I use it to hang ribs vertically PBC/UDS style.
