I trimmed the fat off some pork belly to use for my ground beef and now I have a lot of naked pork belly. Do you have any ideas how to cook it up?

Currently own:
Weber 22 and 26 Kettle.
Regular gasser with rotisserie.
Custom built horizontal stick burner.
Custom built duel fuel "whole hog" cooker.
Many other tools of the trade.
Air-fryer Chicharrones.
Leave skin on. Cut slits lengthwise. Apply your favorite rub. Can dry brine overnight.
Preheat air fryer to 400°. Cook skin side down 20 minutes. Flip over and cook 20 more minutes.
Remove and cut thru the skin. If they are not crispy to your liking, air fry the strips until your doneness.
I cannot locate the pics of the ones we did a few months ago. But i do have a small belly that i think we will turn into chicharrones this weekend.Last edited by mcook2201; August 13, 2026, 05:53 PM.

Sounds great! Unfortunately the skin is off and I do not have an air fryer.Originally posted by mcook2201 View PostAir-fryer Chicharrones.
