Is there a pork surplus in your area?

When I go to to a grocery store (southern California), the 'marked down' meat section is a regular stop.

It seems like there's always some form of pork available for quick sale: loin, tenderloin, ground, breakfast sausage, Italian sausage, etc. Today I bought hot breakfast sausage, and sweet Italian sausage.
I don't notice as much beef or chicken for quick sale.

Is there a pork 'surplus' where you are, compared to other meat?

Typically wolly world has loins and back ribs in excess. Not as much as cashews (good lawd there must be 10 cashew trees for every human on earth)

My experience is with the Vons/Albertsons/Safeway chain, and a regional store named 'Smart n Final'.
Gosh, against my better judgement, I think I'll go to Wolly World. Not that I need to ...

I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary.
I have been patiently waiting for Shoprite to have a sale on their chairman's reserve pork ribs so that I can restock the freezer.

Didn't notice anything here. More people are eating pork in latter years. Perhaps their buyer overestimated the stores needs?
