    A window to cook outside

Coming out of the winter of hell, December thru last week, sub zero nights and single digit days. And snow. Easily 2.5 feet now. Cookers not usable between temperature and snow. So a light is shining through at least one day. So I'll be breaking out the PBJ and do a rack of St Louis Ribs. Then artic front and back to single digits. Next week cold and some snow possible. But 2nd week of March we should turn. They're saying maybe 60! Flip flops shorts, NOT. I'm looking forward to have a day to cook outside.

ComfortablyNumb - No. This is from a DEA stakeout. Besides, PJ’s neighborhood is just too sketchy for a visit.

And just what the hell is wrong with my neighborhood?

Put your shirt on, John. You’re scaring the kids

Yep. I get it. We were not quite as cold, but lots of snow and just generally not much incentive to get smoke going. It’s harder, for sure. We’re getting 60s, but rain. I don’t mind rain. I’ll be ribbin’ it again soon.

Wow, the East has been through a horrible winter. Here in the middle of the Rockies we've been in the 50s most of the winter with no snow. We landed in Denver two weeks ago from the Keys, it was 73 degrees. During our stay in the Keys it was colder there than here at 8500 feet. Glad you are getting a brake.

Stay warm. We are having a warmer than usual winter. Temps have moved up to the low 80s. We did get snowed in for 3 or 4 days in late January, but we haven’t had much winter otherwise.

Same here. We’re planning of having dinner on the back patio today. The forecast says 84 F today.

It is too warm here, not enough mountain snowpack. 5 reservoirs here provide irrigation and some municipal water. Need snow to melt gradually, draining into reservoirs. If I recall correctly, the snowpack contributes about 2/3, reservoirs 1/3 (from stream flows), of the water allocated to all uses, fish to farming. 4th year of significant drought.

I was lucky enough to get a pork butt done last Saturday when temps creeped into the mid 30s.
The next day we got a fresh 10 inches of snow
