I keep getting bombarded on social media with ads for Campo Grande’s Iberico pork. Obviously I keep clicking on them so it never ends.
I searched The Pit and it’s been 3 years since anyone posted about this company. Have any of you become devoted fans? Is anyone buying their products? Generally, what are your thoughts and is it worth the money? Thanks.
If not cooking outdoors, I am cooking on the stovetop with my 14" carbon steel wok, 12" CI skillet, or in the oven with my two Lodge CI pizza pans, or two dutch ovens. I've also got a nifty Lodge carbon steel grill pan that rocks for veggies outdoors.
I am not falling for it! You just want company. If I click on that link, MY social media will be full of their ads too. Probably will anyway from me just viewing the link you posted inline in your post....
Generally my thoughts are if you want something for a special occasion give it a try. The vast majority of my shopping for proteins is in the direction of buying good quality for less, not more. I don’t want to hear from business like this but I do get the weekly sale adds from my local grocery stores in my email and use them.

We love Jamon and since our neighbor has strong ties to Spain we have eaten our fill. In fact the neighbor who makes the custom Nutcrackers based on something that happened in our neighborhood the past year did one on the subject.
What I didn’t see on the site was a reference to grade or label of the Jamon.
Grade matters in Iberico pork
Love that nutcracker! I love Jamon too. The Spanish make the best version. Hands down. This is gonna sound gross but it was amazing - while in Miami at a Spanish restaurant I had a Jamon Martini. Absolutely incredible. Like a dirty martini but Jamon instead of olive. But it was crystal clear. No idea how they did that. I suspect magic.
I've been curious too but the sheer volume of Instagram ads about it make me very suspicious if not downright skeptical of its quality. It seems very much to me like the Omaha Steaks of pork chops

Agree, lots and lots of ads! There is a tiny local shop here that carries it and says it’s really good, but that’s just a shopkeeper talking. They don’t seem that well versed in proteins.
Large Big Green Egg, Weber Performer Deluxe, Weber Smokey Joe Silver, Fireboard Drive, 3 DigiQs, lots of Thermapens, and too much other stuff to mention.
Good pork is pretty good, but I don’t think it’s especially hard to find. I’ve thought about giving Campo Grande a shot, but their “try us!” ads aren’t anything I want to make.
