Looking for tips on removing skin from pork belly

I went to Costco this morning and picked up my first pork belly.

Sadly, all they had were skin on. Is there any special technique to remove the skin? Any YouTube video demos? Any help will be appreciated.
BTW, might as well cover what to do with the skin once it is removed.
    TIA.

I make a small cut below the fat and skin line. Then grab the skin with a paper towel and pull. You can also use a paper towel and pliers, if that works better for you.

You might need encouragement from your knife as you go, but it should pull fairly easily. And make sure to save it to make chicharonnes.

Very Interesting. I will try this next time. Cutting it off is tedious.

Yeah, if you can grip it.......rip it!!! (Similar to John Daly)

I used my long slicing knife to remove the first one I got. I wasn’t paying as close attention as I should have and cut myself on the back side of the belly.

Now I use my boning knife, staring from a corner, and just working my way along, kind of guiding it off.

chicarones are the most popular American use for the skin, along with cracklins.

Just a thought. Not sure if you need all that to be skinless bc for me the main reason I buy pork belly is to cook w the skin and make blisteringly crispy skin on pork belly bites. It’s the best part!
