I love seeing them advocate cutting the pork butts into pieces to get more bark - just like I do! They obviously got the idea from me!
Not a bad video, not too long, about 10 mins, of course, like most YT content, this could be effectively done in 3 minutes or less. Naturally.
Love that they catch the drippings in the pan and mix them back in with the pulled pork. ZJust like I do...
BUT... the shenanigans....
We've talked about this before on their videos. He says, specifically in this one, that he is applying ONLY Salt & Pepper. He mentions several times that he doesn't want to emulate other BBQ styles in other areas, that he is doing Texas style S&P, that he doesn't want to change or cover up the flavor of the meat....
And then he takes a shaker and puts on a rub that is CLEARLY not S&P - for God's sake, it's RED, man!
