$1.99 thick cut bacon?

Was getting ready for New Year's festivities tonight, and ran across this extra thick cut bacon at our local Hen House grocery store. 2.5lbs for $1.99
it took every ounce of willpower to just buy 2 packs. (I don't have the room for any more than that).

Holy heck! What’s the expiration date on it? That stuff is usually good for quite a while after whatever date is there.

Best Choice is a distributor, not a manufacturer. Weis Markets here in NEPA packages their bacon similarly; I swear it’s a dead ringer for Wright brand bacon.

Says it's distributed by associated wholesale grocers. No other marks. Candied bacon?

I need to swing by the store - they carry Best Choice products. I'm running low on home made bacon but that is cheaper than I can make it. I agree, it tastes like Wright's bacon to me so it is good.

I had to pull up our local supermarket to check bacon prices. There aren’t any bargains here. In fact I would see a good price on a package of bacon and then see it only contained 12 oz .
