    A Case For Boiling/Steaming Ribs?

    As I often find myself perusing recipes…. I came across this. Anyone try it? I’m going to give it a shot next week. Stay tuned!

        As long as you don't call it BBQ, you can prepare ribs in many other ways.

          Haven’t made this recipe but sounds good. And there are times when boiling/steaming ribs is not just okay but good. For example a great dim sum dish is steamed ribs with black beans.

          But to be clear would never boil ribs, slather on some KC masterpiece and call them bbq ribs!

            There could be a genuine donnybrook brewing here. I’m pretty sure SheilaAnn is not a terrorist but what if they’ve captured her and are forcing her to talk about boiling ribs? We should send her help as soon as possible. What if it’s a medical emergency and she’s delirious? What’s if vegans have taken over her account and are trying to discredit her in front of her friends? SheilaAnn would never boil ribs would she? I’m pretty sure this is a cry for help!

              I know! Just what I was thinking too. I think we need to start asking for proof of life photos, with her holding a newspaper with the current date. Well heck. No newspapers anymore....

            This bunch has never brawled like we did a few years ago over pre-burned wood splits. One or two got themselves banned over that one. We'll get through this and still be friends.

            Thank goodness there is a statute of limitations in our justice system or otherwise I wouldn’t admit that I was part of a conspiracy to boil not only ribs but half chickens as well. In my youth JHU held an annual spring festival on the Homewood campus and my little group decided to rent a space to sell food. We really couldn’t cook but as chemistry majors we did know how to boil water. We parboiled everything, then slathered them in sauce and finished them over a charcoal grill. Everyone loved our “BBQ” and we sold hundreds and hundreds of plates.
