I was at my local GFS and found this sweet deal.
45lbs. of pork belly. 10 vacuum sealed packs in the box. $50.
Didn't know if I had freezer space, but figured I can make room.
pic so it happened.
Scotch: Current favorite- The Arran (anything by them), Glenmorangie 12yr Lasanta, sherry cask finished. The Balvenie Double Wood, also like Oban 18yr, and The Glenlivet Nadurra (Oloroso sherry cask finished) among others. Neat please.

If not cooking outdoors, I am cooking on the stovetop with my 14" carbon steel wok, 12" CI skillet, or in the oven with my two Lodge CI pizza pans, or two dutch ovens. I've also got a nifty Lodge carbon steel grill pan that rocks for veggies outdoors.
We have a Gordon Food Service here in town. It's in an area I don't go often, but when my wife wants to visit the thrift store next to it, I'll go browse GFS. They have some interesting meat buys, but on the beef at least, you need to be careful as I got all excited one time about beef chuck roll for $1 less per pound than at Sam's Club, until I realized it was Select grade meat, versus Angus Choice for $1 more over at Sam's. That said some of their normal prices on ribs, butts and other things were slightly below Sam's or Costco.
I didn't look for pork belly last time in there, but need to. If I had seen 45 pounds for $50, you can be sure I would make freezer space for it!
