Well, I know I seemed very reluctant on switching away from baby back ribs. Fortunately JoeSousa gave me some Porter Road spares and STL to compare against baby backs. And I was super impressed with the STL cut and the kids of course loved them. Lots of extra meat and very flavorful. Meijers and Costco seem to carry them. So, I think I will give the STL ones a few more tries! J-Melt , you may be the next….taster! 🤣
The spares were similarly excellent, but not really a fan of the rib tips.
I have only made baby backs a couple times but have always preferred St. Louis cut ribs. Probably need to try baby backs again.
When I lived in Jacksonville there was a little hole in the wall place that made some excellent ribs but the best thing they had were the rib tips. I have never been able to even come close to replicating those rib tips.
