    BACON.... ABUSE!!!!

Wife just made a groaning sound from the kitchen.... when I asked what was wrong she said...

"I think I left the bag with the bacon in it in the car last night."

Now she says, "I'm just gonna take it back to WalMart and see if they'll let me return it. I just wanna see the look on their faces."

Reminds me of Rodney Carrington on WalMart returns, "These diapers already got sh** in 'em!"

WMart used to have a no questions policy. I saw a woman bring a nasty bit of curdled milk back for a new quart. A friend of mine brought back melted frozen concentrate and got a refund. I don't think they do that any longer.

I’m goin to guess it was cool enough in yer car & the fact it is cured that there would be no problem. Personally, I wouldn’t worry about, seein you will also cook the dickens out of it bein bacon and all.

realdocBBQ be careful giving the dog a bunch of pork fat. I caused one of our dogs to have a bout of pancreatitis by giving her a bunch of scraps from pulled pork (all the fat and gristle that I tossed when pulling). Cost me about $400 that weekend at the vet.

Nah, I wasn't really going to. We don't give her much of the people food type stuff. Thanks for the heads' up though! I wouldn't give her a bunch at once, only a few bites at a time, if I did.

Yeah we did that once, too. Some kind of large ocean fish steaks left overnight in the floorboard of a VW Golf while in the Caribbean. HOT. It caused... problems. Ugh. Might have been there more than one day, I know it leaked all over the carpet, and the smell NEVER completely went away, no matter how many times we cleaned it. Still there when we sold the car a year or more later.

I feel your pain! And on the fish story as well. I bought one of those cheap styrofoam coolers and filled it with shrimp on my way out of Destin once many years ago, and by the time we made it back to Huntsville 7 to 8 hours later, a small crack had allowed all the melted SHRIMPY ice water to leak all over the trunk, soaking into the carpet and backing. No matter how much you cleaned it, that smell in the trunk caused the car to always smell like shrimp on a hot day, if you left all the windows closed. I was kinda glad when it was totaled a few years later, because of that.

My wife saw a woman returning almost half of a watermelon to Walmart because she said it didn't taste good.
