    Ribs

Well, I went and did it. I overcooked ribs aka Fall-off-the-bones.
Actually, three bones fell out of one rack.
But friends and family loved them. They went back for seconds.

Sometimes, what matters most is who is at the table, not what's on the plate! Ribs are ribs, fall off the bone or not, I'll eat them.

I agree, as long as they have good flavor.

My mother, who is a young 85 y.o., believes ribs must be fall off the bone. I grew up eating them that way and never knew otherwise until I was “enlightened.” I have no problem eating them.

Yeah.... I have to say, as much as I prefer ribs with some tug, my family all like that fall off the bone tenderness when it comes to ribs. The last time I made ribs, it was some beef plate ribs, and the meat all pulled clean off the bone.

The last ribs I made were rather tough, despite a 7 hr cook. I blame the hog I guess (can't be me, can it??) Anyway, I'd rather have fall off the bone than too tough.

Doing ribs for a July 4th party. I know they want those ribs FOTB. That's what their palate is set to. But it is up to us who know better...

Fall off the bone is certainly not my preference, but that's still what a lot of people like. It doesn't help that's what a lot of the pros state (that I think only say it because of the masses). Just another one of those first world problems.

Don't cook like they do on TV or in competitions, unless it's about tenderness with respect to pork ribs.

I prefer a little tug, but “fall off” is acceptable…I just don’t want it falling off the bone when I pick it up.

I like them both ways, just not so done that the bone slides out when you pick them up.

Apparently FireMan has been holding out on us. He is ACTUALLY a former standout at his old alma mater. Snazzy looking outfit there Wibs. No wonder you are so fond of them.

Also figured you'd like to insert another more appropriate avatar at some point in time, you know to honor your love of the pig.
