    Spare ribs from Denmark?

I’m wary of these, but mostly because I’m used to being able to actually see the ribs I’m buying, and at $30 for 10 pounds there’s really no volume discount. A Google search turns up a discussion from 2008 on Smoking Meat Forums, and an article at Simplymeatsmoking.com that just describes baby backs.

Is there anything special going on here?

EDIT: Laughing out loud, on page 2 of the search results I found this, from our very own Meathead, in the glossary of pork cuts:

Danish ribs. Small slabs of baby backs usually from Denmark, but not always. One guy I know says “I think they’re possum ribs. They look like baby backs, only smaller, thinner, and meatless!” Never heard a good word about them.

    Well that answers that!

Having suffered through canned Danish pork products, I don't have the nerve to try ribs.

At least the pictures look good, or OK. But I am not sure about those green wormy things on them. I think they identify as seasoning.

Somebody gave me Danish ribs (a couple of racks) a few years ago. These are the only time I'd recommend this...Boil some beer with your rib seasoning. Drop the ribs in boiling beer for just a few minutes, sear them on the kettle. I can't remember if additional rub was added. They were tasty and not dried out.
