Ranch Rub and pickle juice spritz Ribs

1-1-1 @ ~325*F ribs with Ranch Rub and pickle juice spritz Ribs
Ranch-Rubbed Pork Ribs Recipe | Michael Symon | Food Network

Why not just use a package of Ranch Dressing, and add salt and pepper?
    Have you tried this?
Let me know what you think.

Sometimes I think youtube posters come up with these strange ideas just to draw watchers.

That doesn't mean that they couldn't be good though.

Click bait. Although Michael is probably not in that business.

That just sounds like more flavor than I want to impose on my ribs. Even with the rubs I really like I am pretty sparing (see what I did there?) because I want the meat's own flavor to come through. But, you know, that's just, like, my opinion, man.

I'm down for the pickle juice but no thanks on the ranch rub.

I like Michael Symon, I feel like it’s probably okay. But I don’t cook ribs enough to do that kind of experimenting. Got to stick with the tried and true ribs.

Interesting. I'm open to try it, but I would cheat and just use Ranch dressing mix instead of making my own.

            That was my thought too.
But as @RonbB posted above, I wonder if this was "Click Bait". But it just might be good. I would try it first before serving it to anyone.

No, just no. Put the ranch rub on some chicken and put just a bit of the pickle juice in your martini. Ribs just don’t need it.

Along the same vein as Oak Smoke 's suggestions, I might soak chicken pieces in pickle juice and add ranch seasoning to the breading mix before frying them.

But those ingredients are not coming near my ribs, no way, no how. Sorry Michael.

I just threw up in my mouth.
That recipe sounds like something my niece would say she saw on Tiktok.

                Mississippi pot roast…

Michael Symon was doing outside cooking show (where this recipe came from). He said he really liked ranch. I do recognize the set (supposedly his backyard) and the lady filming.

It did not take me long to realize the Best BBQ is the BBQ you like.
So, if you really like Ranch Dressing on ribs then go for it.

Exactly! That and it is not a failure if you learn something. For example deep fried pickles. Not going to eat them like French fries, but I wouldn’t refuse a good one (or two - then you’re done). When I first saw them at a fair. I was skeptical they would be good.

That said I won’t be trying this anytime soon. I have 2 ranch haters in the house. 😎
