Cryovac pork butt shelf life

I have a pork butt that says use of freeze by July 13. It’s the 16th now. Been in fridge (not freezer) entire time. Is it safe to still smoke it? Thanks.

Yeah, you should be good. I don't like going much longer on pork. I wouldn't have a problem dry brining it for 3 days.

I’d open it and smell it. If it smells ok, either smoke it now or freeze it. Pork will let you know when it’s bad.

I would say yes, but I would open it up and see how it smells. But should be fine

If the bag is intact it is fine. If you want to freeze it keep it in the original unopened bag and toss in the freezer. If wanting to cook now do the dry brine and then throw it on the smoker.

If a pork butt smells, I hope it doesn't smell me or my pit. But if it stinks it is most likely bad
