One of each then you decide, there is no right answer but the answer must have "ribs" in it! OK, class dismissed! 😁

I have been musing over baby backs again and this thread pointed out what has been disappointing about the last few I have done which is the extra loin meat or extra meaty aspect.
What is the best way to acquire baby backs without the extra meat? I have a PR gift card for my birthday so I’ve been wondering about these:
These Pork Spare Ribs will be the most flavorful you've ever had. Cut from the belly of the pig, this cut features beautiful marbling that makes them perfect for the smoker. Our 100% pasture-raised pigs combine the best features from the Berkshire, Chester White, and Duroc breeds, and are raised with no antibiotics and no added hormones.
But I also plan to have a chat with my Fresh Market butcher next time I am in the store.

DennyWoo nailed it, anything under 3lbs tends to be well proportioned. They’re sometimes difficult to locate but they’re easier to find when they go on sale and there are piles of them. And yes, I’m that guy that digs through the piles looking for them.

I buy baby backs because spares are usually rare around here. If I do come across spares I will get them. I like both though so it isn't a big deal really.
The town I live in isn't small exactly, so I have no idea why we get the short end of the rib when it comes to BBQ meats. Brisket is another that really makes me sad as the most you can find usually is the flat half, and only occasionally.

Yeah I am definitely gonna hit up some of the online retailers from now on. I know I already looked at Snake River Farms and the cost of the American wagyu wasn't much more than what I would pay for choice grade around here. I just gotta get used to my new rig before I delve into expensive things lol.
