I am thinking chill out and order Domino’s. You are going to have enough to do orchestrating a party for 35 people. I am guessing that excited youth will cover for anything lacking in the quality of the pizza. Most of all you and Mia have fun!

      Thanks LA!

Couldn’t you make a selection of Mia’s favorites (say 2 or 3) pizzas and then also have some brisket or pulled pork ready as well? Everyone gets a slice of pizza hot & fresh and then you have pulled pork or brisket premade as an accompaniment? It doesn’t have to be pulled pork but something that is obviously more crowd-friendly. Mia gets her favorite pizza and Dad doesn’t collapse and die in a nervous wreck from flinging peels?

That is pretty cheap! I guess I need to look at my pizza orders more closely as they are usually $40 for 5 versus just over $100 for 35!

First thing I thought was order ten pizzas. Domino’s new thin crust are actually pretty damn decent.

That's exactly what I've decided to do.

I've done pizzas for 30 adults out of a single Roccbox and it's fun, at least for me. A bunch of kids should be even easier. Make enough dough for 12 - 15 doughballs and have all of your ingredients prepped. Then, let the kids/adults make up their own pies and you just cook them. Set a bunch of cutting boards out and assign a kid or adult or 2 to help with slicing and serving. This is very doable, very interactive, and should be fun. The first one is the hard one, and you might stumble a little, but Mia and her friends will have a blast. Attitude is everything!

Yes, you’ve lost your mind. That’s a crazy goal for a meal. And you’ll be giving Mia a party she’ll remember for the rest of her life. I can’t help with the logistics - never tried a pizza cook anywhere near that big. I just wish you the best of luck and hope everything comes off without a hitch.

    1) set up pizza oven and a warming oven
    2) order from a really good NY style pizza place (or other style if you prefer)
    3) hide pizzas in warming oven
    4) every 5-7 minutes take a pizza out of the warming oven and put into the pizza oven for a few seconds to get the cheese bubbly again
    5) take out of pizza oven and into the house to wild acclaim.

Rolling out the crust is the most time consuming step. I used to bar-tend in a little tavern where we made sort-of home made pizzas. We would have the crusts ready to go and just add the toppings. Could you do this, maybe with parchment paper in between? Actually, we'd put the sauce and cheese on too, cover with Saran wrap, and just add the toppings later--not sure if that's necessary though.

Well, if this situation arises again, I feel like we should have done more to support MCS. Next time, I plan to recommend adding two new Oonis to the stable so we can fire three pizzas at once.

Well, my DIL is in labor and my granddaughter will be arriving in just a few hours, so that seals the deal for me. Dominoes wins this one.

Congratulations! Glad to hear Domino’s and the wisdom of the Pit prevails. Grandkids tend to change everything, but with a young one still at home it may be a little slower than usual.

Getting a beautiful new grandbaby trumps cooking pizzas for the family any day! Enjoy all of the happiness that the little one will bring you over the coming years.

Plus I'm betting that little Mia will love eating Dominoes pizza. Kids are like that. My kid used to ask why I didn't make tacos exactly like Taco Bell.
