Maybe the best pizza I’ve ever had.

I know there are lots of Pit members that are great pizza makers. I am NOT one of them.

I consider myself a great pizza eater.

Saturday I might have eaten the best pizza of my life from a local pizza place. Park Street Pizza in Sugarcreek OH does a seasonal specialty pizza 6 to 8 times a year. They are usually good. Their new one is Grrrrrrrreat!

Not sure why it’s called this but they call it the GEMMA.

Hopefully this will inspire the great pizza makers here to make this for themselves.

My wife and I usually go down to Millersburg/Berlin area once a year. May have to keep this place in mind.
      Are they open on Sunday?

That looks like "cup" pepperoni... at least that's what I've seen it called. (because it cups when cooked)
I love that on pizza because the edges get a little crispy because it's thinner and smaller than some other pepperoni.
Our favorite pizza place uses it, and I've been able to find it for home use a few times in the past, but not so much recently. I'm always on the lookout for it.
That pie looks like some damn fine eating

Looks like a fantastic pizza, ricotta is one of my favorite pizza toppings!

That is a great combo - there is a very good restaurant near me that often has a very similar pizza as one of their specials for the day -only difference is theirs doesn't have pepperoni, only sausage.

Sausage/pepperoni pair so well with hot honey and that dollop of fresh ricotta just puts it over the top

I’d definitely devour that pizza and I’d order those Brussel sprouts!

We are going to try the Brussels sprouts next trip to Park Street.

That looks like a great pie! I would devour the crap out of that. I prefer it maybe a little less well done, but that still looks delicious af. Definitely would order those Brussels too.

In the spirit of sharing some fantastic 'za consumed recently, I present a Trenton style tomato pie "Nonna" with fresh mozz and curled pepperoni.

The place has renowned cheesesteaks as well.

Devour the crap out of that. Something I will have to mull over a bit.

FireMan I'm hoping that's a German müll pun.... (sorry if i'm "explaining the joke")

they went a little skimpy on the basil but those peperoni look to die for... they sure are proud of their hot honey eh?

Gemma is a semi-popular Italian womens name, maybe it's just that.. or maybe there's a Gemma it was inspired by? If the other food items weren't in Caps as well I'd suspect it was an acronym.

Hot honey on pizza in general is delicious. I’ve been doing that for a year or two.

It sounds like the hot honey would really provide a nice counterpoint to the intensity of the pepperoni.

Hot honey on pizza is delicious. I’ve had it many a time before this pizza. I have a bottle of Mike’s Hot Honey at home that I use to drizzle on takeout pizza at times.

It may be obvious but as someone who was also super excited to try hot honey on pizza, it didn’t really occur to me that is is making the pizza sweeter tasting.

            That pizza looks delish!

Here lately I’ve been a big fan of fresh basil on my pizza. I guess that’s why I like a Margheritapizza so much.
