I know most people associate pepperoni with pizza. We will be getting one of these tonight.
Here are some of my other favorite applications for pepperoni.
Italian Sub.
Crisp it up in a pan then make an omelette or frittata with it.
Put it onto a meatball sub.
Put it on a hamburger with mozzarella cheese sticks and marinara sauce.
Mix crispy pepperoni into mac n cheese.
Chunk it up and make a pasta bake with it.
Slice it up and eat with cheddar cheese and crackers.

Huskee It’s one of our favorites. They don’t deliver and only take cash. The place is always busy. The dough is not thin and not quite deep dish. They mix it a bit longer than normal dough so it has a great chew to it. Before the sauce they put down a layer of thin sliced provolone, then the sauce, then the pepperoni and then they top it off with mozzarella.

Huskee They also have the best ordering setup. You can call ahead and order it to be ready at any time if they have that open slot. When you call and ask for first available they will give you a time for pick up like 6:35. If you show up at 6:30 you’ll be waiting 3 to 4 minutes for your pizza to come out of the oven. If you show up at 6:40 it will have been sitting on the counter for 5 minutes already. They have their stuff together.

- If not cooking outdoors, I am cooking on the stovetop with my 14" carbon steel wok, 12" CI skillet, or in the oven with my two Lodge CI pizza pans, or two dutch ovens. I've also got a nifty Lodge carbon steel grill pan that rocks for veggies outdoors.
My wife complains that the pepperoni is too greasy and too spicy and horrible for you. For me - the more the better!
We have a local takeout place called Marcos and I love to just get double pepperoni double cheese from them... take something to put on your car seat, and don't carry it in your lap as all that grease IS gonna go through the bottom of the box! My son had on a white shirt and khaki's one time when I had him pickup an order of 4 pizzas from Marcos on his way here. His wife drove, and he held the pizza in his lap. I never heard if they were able to get the grease spots out of his clothes!

I saw a recipe today for pizza bagel. The bagel, sauce, cheese and pepperoni. In the oven till cheese is melted and crisp around the edges. It's on my to make list. They suggested everything bagel. Who's to argue?
Edit; I would add a bit of heat say FlatIron something.

I of course love smoked meats of all kinds, but also like quick cooks like chicken portions, pork tenderloins, steak and fish. Really into cooking of all kinds.
My outdoor kitchen has a Lone Star Grillz Adjustable and it is wonderful. There also is a Pit Boss 5 Burner Ultimate Griddle and a Pit Boss Copperhead pellet grill.
There is an outdoor fire pit that has grilling capability and limited Santa Maria-style grill raising and lowering.

For those who go pick up their pizza by themselves and have duel zone heating in their vehicle here is the pizza pick up hack you did not know you needed.
Turn your heater to floor vent only. Set your heater to high on the passenger side. Set the pizza on the passenger side floor.
It keeps the pizza warm and keeps any grease off your seats.

When I was a young un (4 or 5) my family went to a local Italian restaurant called Red Devil in phoenix. I used to only get a plate of French fries because those weird dots on the pizza looked so strange. My older sister by 11 months did the same until she tried a slice and loved it. I think I held out one more time and decided to try it too.
I’ve loved pepperoni pizza ever since.
I even worked at Little Caesar’s in high school when everyone told me I would hate pizza after that.
It never happened.
Happy National Pepperoni Pizza Day!

In my opinion this is the best pepperoni that is readily available everywhere food is sold.
There are a few local brands around here that are good but Margherita Pepperoni is the best.
I always have a stick or two in my fridge.
I don’t care for pre-sliced pepperoni. It seems to lose all its flavor sitting in the bag already sliced.
