I just put it in the calculator for Newburg, In, 20 people, med living rm, 60 min, speaking, no mask, and the risk came out very high.

Yes correct, I even backed it down to 11 people attending, 2 hours, 50% mask, since we are eating, and still very high. Too high.

When you move the same event to outside it changes everything, low risk.

I did the same for my neck of the woods, which is rural and has a relatively low (but now increasing) # of new covid cases. According to it, I still can't go to my hairdresser with the policies/protections the owner currently has in place. Wah! I want to get my hair done (safely) at some point in the future. I've already given up on the professional manicures.

The thing I like about the app is that it gears the risk assessment to the # of active covid cases in your specific area at any one time.

It's much about benefit vs. risk nowadays, sadly.
