I feel ya on the rain, I’ve been drenched to the bone more than once trying to deliver fire cooked foods for the family.
When we redid our kitchen this past winter, we replaced the 30 year old electric coil stove with an induction unit. I couldn’t tell you how many watts each burner is, but it’s been amazing with the ability to control temperatures and to move pots and pans around to other burners and maintain the temps. Clean up is light years beyond electric units too for those of us that aren’t very majestic in the kitchen.

I remember when I was in the Navy and stationed in San Diego in the early '70s that I was walkin' down the street one day and noticed a spot where the sprinklers did not reach. That small spot was yellow from lack of water while the covered area was green.
