    Thought you were all my friends

    I must admit that I am disappointed in the members here. I thought you were all a bunch of nice people.

    This week I found a pork belly at Costco. 11#. Took it home cut it up and brined some of it. Smoked it this morning and then cut a few strips off and fried it. Amazing!

    Why am I disappointed in you all?

    Because none of you told me how darned good it is!

    Seriously, every recipe or hint that I have used from here has been spot on.

    Thanks one and all and I hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving!

    I apologize profusely. If I can make it any better, here is a recipe that will save you money:

    1 Ribeye - 1 inch thick

    Rub

    2 lbs Sugar
    1/2 pound paprika

    Let sit overnight

    Shake off the rub and eat

    Apply second rub:

    16 TBS chili powder

    Cook:

    1 hour per side at 600 degrees

    I promise this will turn out tasting awful.

            do not encourage these people!!!!! I am still trying to lose weight or at least not regain any of what I lost. I can tell by the recipe that the items are great. Don't get them to make me start drooling.

            THE Humble Texan So true. I am supposed to go into the doctor for my annual next month but I have 20 lbs that need to be dropped since I got my smoker in June
