I was smoking a bottom round roast and chicken breasts and after checking the chicken with my thermapop and seeing that it was at 142 IT I immediately plunged it into the roast (bone head part) which was done at 135 IT. Is there any saving the roast, or did I irreversibly contaminate it with the chicken?

My thoughts, (and they are worth what you paid for them) - Any chicken juices that came in contact with the roast will not penetrate. And since the juice will sit on the surface of the meat in your hot cooker, you should be OK.
