    Blame the Swedes for SV!

    My wife has FINALLY made krupcrockers for me. I won't bother with the recipe, look it up. But it is basically a paste made from grated potatoes stuffed with salt pork that is then boiled in the water squeezed from the paste. Sounds like SV to me. (The potato part is pretty good, just be sure to add pepper and butter. The salt pork ...)

    On the other hand, she also made some glug to go with it. That helps a lot. (Just be sure to take the next day off from work.)

        If this is your notion of SV, you might be beyond help.

          Ikea used to sell a mix, just add wine. It was pretty good, don't know why they stopped selling it.
