Bringing my parents a care package

We are heading to my parents tonight for dinner, they’ve gotten to the age that going out for a meal or dinner is becoming less and less, So we are bringing the dinner to them, im baking a pizza tonight to bring with us, their fav is sausage pepperoni, so that is what they will get tonight

Figured while I was at it I would bring a little care package with me. I was baking loaves for others so i made sure to add a loaf in for them. My dad loves a good chocolate chip cookie so i am bringing a bunch of Browned butter dark chocolate chunk cookies that i spilled some espresso powder into, my mom loves maple walnut ice cream so i made her a quart of ice cream this morning, and a jar of homemade granola.

It was a nice reflective time in the kitchen as I was really able to think about my parents and all the lessons they have instilled in me that have set me up. These care packages seem silly in the idea of what they had all offered,

Doesn't seem silly to me. I think feeding people is one of the nicest things you can do, and if you are spending the time to create things you know they will love, then that is special.
