Irked by A&M's loss in the first round of the CFP? Pay it no mind as they won the national championship that truly matters: meat judging.

"During each contest, students evaluate the quality of meat on animal carcasses. Contestants judge how much useful meat can be taken from each carcass, the quality of the meat, and are scored on their reasoning and evaluation methods. Students also judge beef, pork, and lamb cuts based on its retail value. The AMSA [American Meat Science Association] says that its contests, held every year since 1926, are an important way to train "young leaders in the meat and livestock industries."
