I would be struck by lightning and disowned by all past and future generations of my family if I didn’t state Mt. Olive pickles.

Bedtime made xTreeme heat pickles are my favorite grocery store brand. 2nd is Clausen hot and spicy. Honestly though, we make our own pickles and that's what we eat 99% of the time. We make giant rars of them at a time. Like probably a gallon and a half sized jars.

I used to like getting them out of the barrel on Essex Street on the Lower East Side. I miss those days.

Claussen pickles are like Kingsford, consistent, reliable and widely available. I tend to get Grillo’s when available around these parts. But I recently discovered a fermented pickle company out of Jacksonville, FL called Olive My Pickle Co. So far I like the olives. The okra is crunchy and well flavored, but the kosher pickles are just ok. I want to try their kraut and kimchi.

Oh yeah, locally Wickles Pickles are a standard, little heat and a little sweet. Can’t miss with those.

We've become Grillo's converts, and have primarily gotten those over the last several years.

Now I’m being a PAB….. I have Mt. Olive Relish in the fridge for tater salad, tuna fish salad and tartar sauce. But when my CSA runneth over, I make my own.

                  I like Claussen's too.

I've bought Boars Head pickles in the past, but since I still shudder at the grossness of the Virginia deli meat plant of theirs that was shut down after poisoning so many people, there has been no Boars Head food in our house for over a year.

I may have to relent sooner or later though, because we were addicted to their Tuscan Turkey from the deli counter.

Been eating their Cajun turkey lunch meat for a while now, no problems!

Mt. Olive and Vlasic. HEB makes a decent pickle too.

Mt. Olive seems to be the most popular pick with this group, for sure.

Another vote for Claussen pickles here. Mt. Olive pickles aren't bad by any means, I just like a pickle with some crunch. Especially when putting it on a chopped or shredded pork shoulder sandwich.

100% Claussen in this house. Claussen Kosher Dill, they make it in whole, spears, slices and minis. I love them all, mostly the spears. My nephew is the family deviled egg connoisseur, he chops the minis and puts in the egg filling. <chef's kiss> I will take Grillo's in a pinch, but prefer the C. When I was in full on adrenal gland crash (too complicated to describe it better), I craved salt like an addict craves heroin. I was drinking pickle juice all the time, and found that Grillo's brine has a better taste overall, but Claussen much saltier IMHO. Grillo's has a pickle de gallo that I find a little intriguing, but not enough to try it thus far. Both brands in the refrigerator section. My feeling is the only need to go down that pickle aisle is for olives

Mt Olive is building a second plant within walking distance of where I'm hoping to score a lot and build a house

I dont mind their pickles, I just generally prefer the Gedney or Claussen for shelf stable and Bubbies for fermented

On a semi-related note, if you like pickled okra, this stuff is pretty good!
