SheilaAnn I’d like to suggest a new, to me, recipe for the next team cook. I’ve made this before and it’s absolutely delicious! In fact, I now make it 2-3 times a week. Simple but oh so good!

- If not cooking outdoors, I am cooking on the stovetop with my 14" carbon steel wok, 12" CI skillet, or in the oven with my two Lodge CI pizza pans, or two dutch ovens. I've also got a nifty Lodge carbon steel grill pan that rocks for veggies outdoors.
Epic! Love it!
I bet the chicken, beef and fish work well with all the other two dozen ingredients in that recipe.

In line with SheilaAnn's souvlaki recipe, about 10 years ago the ex and I had dinner at a great Greek restaurant. Their specialty was moussaka and it was amazing.
I was determined to try and recreate it at home and found a recipe that seemed to match up well. What a job! A ton of prep work and par-cooking, very much like this video.
The result was really, really good, but it was about 6 hours of work from start to finish. I'd do it again, but it will have to be a special occasion.

CaptainMike agreed! But the reward is worth it. Greek Lasagna!

SheilaAnn I need to add that I also roasted a leg of lamb for the meat layer of the moussaka. That was a whole cook in itself!Last edited by CaptainMike; September 11, 2025, 05:55 PM.
