Heading to Chicago

But my wife and I are heading to Chicago Tuesday morning for a concert Tuesday night and then leaving early Wednesday,,, we will be going to a concert at Northerly Island, and staying very close to there at a Hilton.

I have no idea what we may do for food, to dependent on timing. Etc… I know we won’t be driving anywhere for food, and it may just be snacks in the hotel room, but, if you could get a thin crust delivered to your room. What would your choices be?

I don't know the local places downtown but I would just ask a couple random people walking by where they order a pizza from. People in Chicago love to talk about pizza and are generally pretty friendly.

The front desk at the hotel should have some great recommendations.

I avoid asking the people who work at the hotels because they might have an agreement with places for sending people their way. Not always the case, but kickbacks and Chicago have a very long history of going together. 🤷

I am not familiar with the area either. What I would do is ask at the hotel desk and see what is available on GrubHub and DoorDash for delivery.

Alternatively, I’d just do Lou’s. I know there are a million joints but Lou’s is a classic that doesn’t disappoint.

I think I had Lou’s last time we were there, it was definitely deep dish though, will check out their menu for a tavern thin.

#This! We stopped at a location in Chicago while on vacation. My wife and I had the "Malnati Chicago Classic." Wall to wall, perfectly seasoned, sausage. Some of the best pizza I have eaten. Two slices of a large pizza and I was stuffed

Tedeschi Trucks and Warren Haynes at the Huntington Bank Pavilian, outdoor concert, should be fantastic, weather is looking nice.
