That actually might work well in a Korean inspired stir fry!

I have a can of SPAM in the pantry, purchased just on a whim since I've not had it since the 1980's. I was originally gonna plop it on the smoker as a lark, but now think I will cube it up and use for SPAM-fried-rice.

Spam fried rice is a favorite here. I use original flavor Spam and add teriyaki sauce to it. It’s awesome.

Yeah spam fried rice is pretty good. Thumbs up on that route

No thanks, but my son in law will eat it up.

Due to my profession, I read this as unsolicited emails trying to sell me gochujang.....and I was like.....I am kinda into that.

I wrote a filter on our mail server to reject all Korean spam. Who knew I’d need to start filtering the Pit web traffic too? 🙂

We've had it in MN for a few months now, I love this stuff. Excellent when you sear it and then drop it in an asian broth.

OK, who are you and what have you done with the real Spinaker?

Yeah that seemed right in line with my perception of Spinaker.

I’m with Spinaker I think my fave is a fried sliced Spam, fried egg over medium, and American cheese sandwich on toasted sourdough bread. I used the sliced bread from Brownberry Ovens or something like that. So good.

That sounds like the perfect use of this ingredient

Those crispy edges on the SPAM when you are done frying is divine.

I know I posted this photo before of my daughter’s shopping cart in the Lahaina Safeway, but it does show our family’s opinion of SPAM.

Giggle.....for a while I had something that looked just like that behind me in my home office, so it would show up when ever I was in a video meeting. People who knew I did email security got the joke; people who didn't know I did that....were *very* confused.

jfmorris Jim, you could keep it simple. I don’t know if you could beat fried spam on white bread with mayo.

That is the way I last had some - at my Grandmother's house back in 1985-86, after mowing her lawn or raking or something. I went to college (commuter) near-by, and would pop over there to do stuff if I had a couple of hours between classes, and she would make me fried SPAM or bologna sandwiches on white bread...

I eat this about 2-3 times a month. There is a place called Faka’s Island Grill where I work.

Spam musubi is a classic Hawaiian favorite with grilled Spam, sticky rice, and nori. It’s sweet, savory, and surprisingly easy to make at home.

Used to have spam and eggs for weekend breakfast when we were kids lot!
