    Trade Show Finds

So I go to the Natural Foods Expo West Show every year for 3 reasons: my paying job to seek out new products, the grocery co-op to build and maintain relationships and watch trends, cuz I’m a nerd.

about 60-70% of this show is supplements and vitamins and the like. Not my jams. The rest are solid players in this arena and new products (my fav). Lordy, the beverage scene…. Insane! But I digress.

    found these products:

Guess I should explain, huh? The EZ Bombs are spice mixes that have been compressed. They look like bath bombs. 🤣 I did not taste these, but the sales guy insisted I take samples. When I try them, I will let y’all know.

the El Pinto Salsas are based out of New Mexico with their own restaurant and everything. Didn’t taste, but will dive in this weekend, I’m sure.

The Wild Sol was delicious!!! He offered me all the flavors, it would have been too much to carry around. I had just arrived on the scene, this salsa has a touch of mezcal in the mix. All their salsas have some sort of spirit added. From San Antonio, but packed in NM.

        everything is shelf stable.

I don't want any bombs that were associated with any bath of mine.

I have never seen the El Pinto green salsa, but I do love the red.

The Green is chopped chile, it’s good as well. And fun to see you have tried the salsa! Do they sell this in VA? Or do you order it?

It’s a hot spot in Albuquerque for their New Mexican food!

So, trying to size this out, the spice bombs are maybe thumb-size?

STEbbq actually no…. Maybe a smidge bigger than a golf ball! I’ll do a “scale” picture when I make the first one.

El Pinto!!!!!!!! That’s a top spot to visit in Albuquerque for both the food and ambiance! Nestled in the north valley of Albuquerque, it sits just west of the ABQ Balloon Fiesta field, so they do some events during the week as well. They also have a nice selection of tequila and make some great margaritas!!! El Pinto actually may have been one of the spots I mentioned to you in the past when you asked about local spots you could look into for product at the shop??? I think?

Experience El Pinto Restaurant & Cantina today in Albuquerque, NM.

and…another reason to visit Albuquerque since you enjoy these Trade Shows - the National Fiery Foods and BBQ show. It was this past weekend and I completely forgot it was last weekend!

thanks for sharing some of your finds!!!
