    Snacking...watching tv, games .....

How much do you snack during an at home happy hour or while watching a game? For whatever reason we don't snack if we have a late afternoon cocktail or while watching tv, even a game. The only exception would be the Super Bowl. I just thought about this as I'm sure we are in the vast minority. There are no health or weight issues, we just don't think about it, maybe we should.

Don't think about it. You have seen my gut.

    I don’t snack during a game, I eat a whole bag of pretzels so it’s a meal!

Kim n I will enjoy a glass of wine and some cheese and crackers after she comes home from work.
We both enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning together in front of the snews before we start our day.
We do enjoy adult beverages n snacks during a football or baseball broadcast.

We rarely snack! A handful of mixed nuts every now and again or chips and salsa/guac if I am already making tacos, etc.

      now I want a snack…. 🤣 JK, I’m stuffed from Sheila-quiles.

I don't need a special occasion for snacks...

I rarely snack. I eat just two meals per day. But admittedly they’re big meals. It’s the beer that keeps me grossly overweight. I love beer. I mean I really love it. A lot. Nectar of the gods.

I love beer too; it is too bad my A1C does not.

Generally, no snacks during games. I have to be careful with that stuff. I try to eat once in the morning, between 7 and 8, and once in the evening, between 5 and 7 depending. If I get hungry during the day, I’ll eat a handful of mixed nuts, like a half a cup, or a few pretzels. Crackers, chips, etc are pretty rare. Hard sweets are completely out of the picture. If my sweet tooth gets reactivated (like it did over this past holiday season), it takes a couple weeks to go away. It’s gone again now, thank goodness.

That being said, we do move dinner around to match game times. We would eat around halftime for a 4PM start, or at kickoff for an 8PM start.

I used to drink one beer a day. Now I couldn’t tell you the last time I had a beer at home.

Chips, frito's etc are my weakness. Like kryptonite. Try to avoid just because they are not good for you. But it is tough.

I am not a tailgater, so there are no special foods for a game nor do I set up snacks. I try not do eat anything after 6pm. But, I am a picker if there is food in front of me I feel it is my obligation to eat it. So, after I finish my meal it is best if the remaining food or me are removed from the table as soon as possible.

We used to many years ago but now it's rare. It really is incredible how much you can put down when you're distracted eating! If we do snack now it's during a movie night with the kids or while playing cards. You HAVE to have snacks when playing cards.

My wife is a chips and salsa lover but doesn’t have it that often. We do love popcorn! Probably 1 night a week we have some Orvil’s.

We have it, and love it, but almost never make it!

Mrs loves Herr’s Pub Style Pretzels, and I have to agree they’re the best.

Try a bit of yer fav rub on a batch of popped corn. Teriyaki also works.

Not really game watchers. We usually have some nuts for the occasional TV snacking unless during the holiday season. Only two types of Christmas cookies were made this year. I guess we all reach a point when what the Dr keeps telling us finally sinks in. Fried foods, never really ate that much, quit. Coffee, quit. Cigarettes, quit. Beer, not yet. Exercise, quit. Wait, What? Oh no, need to do more of that.
