Large Big Green Egg, Weber Performer Deluxe, Weber Smokey Joe Silver, Fireboard Drive, 3 DigiQs, lots of Thermapens, and too much other stuff to mention.
Does anyone use these? I bought some of each, and promptly forgot about them both; while cleaning out my “bags and wraps” drawer I found them in the bottom, unopened. I think I’ve used the Green Bags before, but I’ve never noticed any benefit over the plastic bags at the grocery that you just put stuff in.
Carolyn uses the mesh bags all the time. Much stronger than those thin plastic ones, less wasteful and I don't have to fight getting the plastic ones open.
Thanks. Under the pros and cons section at the Lotus website, it lists weighing the bags along with the produce as a con; but I never weigh the bag anyhow, so I guess I’ll start taking them to the store. (That was listed as another con; that users forget to take them!)
We have mesh bags for produce and they are great for heavier or staby items. I’ve had my sweet potatoes pierce right through the plastic film bags and liberate themselves all over the floor.
My Mom used to use the green bags and claimed they worked, not sure of the brand. I have no personal experience with them, though. I suspect if you use your produce in a reasonable time, the bags the grocery store provides are sufficient. When I was single, I'd sometimes keep food if the fridge for a lot longer before I'd get around to using it, and in such circumstances, a bag that extended the life of the produce would be valuable.
I brought home a package of those green bags from my mom's house when we cleared it out. I used a few times, didn't see much difference, and they didn't have a closure like a Ziploc. I'm sure they are still in a kitchen drawer here somewhere.

I use reusable bags for bagging my groceries. It’s second nature, now, to remember them. Plus, some are the kind that fold into themselves, so I carry one in my handbag at all times. As for the produce bags, I use them for little things, like 6 limes at a time, but mostly not at all. And being an indoor cat owner, they get reused!
I like Debbie Meyer Green Bags. Back when I was competing 2-3 times a month (and kale wasn't a legal garnish), those green bags will hold curly parsley for a long while. I always get the green produce bags at my grocery store.
I couldn't find the specs on the Lotus bags. It just kept saying 'mesh' bags. I am curious what they are made of if not plastic nor cloth/cotton.
I think the 'green' bags are an older brand? I am wary of them because of the use of Green for them when they are made of plastic. That is only my opinion though.

Reason: changed words to 'wary of them'

I wondered why I couldn't find that on the Amazon page. I thought every product on amazon had a specs section
I could see myself using them.
We never ever have the reusable bags with us when and if we need them, and finally gave up on using them, and tossed a lot of them. Even if we think to leave some in the trunk, we forget to take them in the store. But more usually, they were in a pile on a shelf in the laundry room.
