    Tomorrow's cook

My son and family came down for a few days from Vermont. My middle grandchild Ethan asked: Grampy can you make ribs? You make the best I've ever had. I'm not sure what his reference point is but I said sure and brought up these from the freezer. Pit Barrel will be working tomorrow.

Ethan will go far in life, if he already knows this much about how to work things in his favor.

As many of us have done, Ethan will eventually stop ordering ribs at restaurants. And pulled pork.

I am a firm believer that the best BBQ a human will put in their mouth is made by someone who loves that human. There's more to flavor than just ingredients and technique. When Grandpa cooks those ribs, he's going to tell about it thirty years from now when people ask him how he got into BBQ. "My grandpa made the best ribs on the entire planet and I'm just trying to be like him." You enjoy that cook! B

Well ribs done at about 5 hours at 225 to 235 with B&B. They were a total success. Meatheads Pork Rub just before I hung them. I was negligent on pictures other than seasoned and ready for be put on. Too much with the family which is a good thing. And thank you for your kind words.

The memories are so much more important than the pictures. What a wonderful day!
