ID:	1561910 Fuel for the evaporator today. Dried cherry with some Ironwood mixed in.

It should be a solid day in the sugar bush. I am thinking we will go through about 100 Gallons of sap today. It is supposed to be a gorgeous day in MN and a great day to make some syrup!

You can always drop that wood off at my house. I’ll leave the gate open so you can get it to the backyard.

I've had my roll-up bed cover 14 years, so glad I put that thing on.

    My newest question.

How would we make bourbon maple syrup? How much would it change the process?

You would add the bourbon after making the syrup. So the syrup making process would not change. My friends often make old fashioneds with our syrup. To make infused bourbon infused maple syrup, you can take bourbon, boil it (which gets rid of the alcohol) then you add the syrup to the pot. Then allow it to cool and there you have it.

If you boil the alcohol out of the bourbon, it is bourbon flavoring.
So, you would have bourbon-flavored maple syrup; not bourbon maple syrup. 😜😛🙊🙉🙈

I bet that if you guys each send in $1,000 that you would each get a bottle. Sort of a sappy kickstarter.
