I average 2/3rds bag of Kingsford a week. It equates to 31 bags so far this year.
57 cents a pound nowadays. Way up from the 25 cents a pound 4 years ago.

Panhead John looks like printer paper to me.

I think it is the Weber fire starter cubes

I was gifted a Kingsford Easy-up by a sales rep.
Mostly because the store I work in wouldn’t let him build a display with it.

My charcoal use was WAY down this year. It was such a rainy summer I never got a chance to do a long low and slow cook. Was gasser or SV and sear on the gasser or cooking on Pellet Cooker.

My stir fry game is way up though.

Maybe three bags of briquets. One bag of Lump n a couple cooks on the stick burner. All the hardwood scraps are free.

Not sure how much charcoal we go through a year, afraid to know!! .. However we grill 3 to 4 times a week pretty much year round. My PK360 is just outside the door, well lit and under the sunsetter awning! Perhaps I should start tracking for 2024. One caveat, I have a small Weber 1200 gasser which I fire up for most of our seafood dinners and chicken thighs and the like. One advantage?, Our 10 year old Jenn-air oven/range is practically new!

Is bobbing for briquettes a thing?

I would say my usage is down overall, but that is more because I have been using logs instead of charcoal. The KBQ has been getting more play than ever.

            Wood fires are my favorite.

Most of my charcoal cooking happens in my MB1050, which does seem to be pretty efficient. I can easily shut it down when I'm done cooking. I can't put a number on it, but it seems like a long time since I last bought charcoal, and I haven't had much of a stash in the shed for the past couple of years.

Mine burned about one pound per hour. Not super efficient but you are able to save the leftovers versus losing them.

STEbbq Yeah, it's the ability to shut it completely down fairly quickly that I like. I also use B&B briquets and those last a good while.

Not sure how much I’ve gone through but it’s been a lot. With my kids away at college much of the time a lot of my cooks are in the Smokey Joe, Jumbo Joe and 14” WSM. None of those cookers burn a lot of charcoal. Also I do keep those in the garage (big rigs are on the patio) so I can move them to the edge of the garage and grill during winter up here in Michigan.

I get wood delivered by the 1/4 Cord ...three deliveries in 2023. 3 major cooks before my next order

We do use some (but not much ) for the outdoor fireplace

1 now have 2 racks form Woodland Directs (5 footers) and that seems to be good!. I order when I have less than a half rack remaining. I think the delivery guy drops off a very generous 1/4 - more like 1/3
